Google is evil, even as we speak. They can put up a good PR front, but in the end Google is a huge corporation whose main purpose is to create profit and please shareholders.

True, I wasn’t thinking about it that way. In any time Google could forget about their “don’t be evil” slogan and break havoc on the WWW. After all, controlling THE search engine, ads, email, videos, feeds (they just acquired FeedBurner), and what else, really makes them the next big brother.

Let’s hope that this at least brings in a little balance.

Hey Curly,
Thanks for the comment. I think it’s ironic that Google is accusing Microsoft of monopolistic practices. Google itself has a near-monopoly in search and would probably buy Yahoo if it could. They’re not able to buy Yahoo because of antitrust laws so they don’t want Microsoft to either.

In the end, I think it’s better for the search industry if Microsoft and Yahoo joined forces.
