Congratulations to DotDriven for correctly unscrambling the 11-letter code. The answer was in fact CLAM CHOWDER. I know, I know.. it’s pretty random but I was actually eating some on the pier when I was visiting San Francisco and it was awesome stuff. Anyway, I admit that the code was very tricky. I intentionally made the scrambled code start off with READ COW just to throw you guys off and apparently it worked very well. There were still some great guesses including ‘welcome card’ and ‘calm cowherd’. Very creative wrong answers. 
DotDriven will soon be a recipient of a $400 review from John Chow. Prepare to explode your site’s traffic!
Needless to say, this contest was a huge success for Winning the Web. A detailed post including stats is coming soon but I can tell you right now that RSS subscriptions has increased by 1000% and the contest post alone has 189 comments on it. I’ll show you how you can do the same in an upcoming article. If you haven’t already done so, make sure you subscribe to the RSS feed for the latest updates.
As for the John Cow review, that prize is going to a random commenter in December. The more comments you made, the higher your chances of winning. Basically, what I did was I assigned each comment a number and then randomly generated a number in Excel. Turns out the winner is… (oops, you’ll have to view the post in a feed reader to find out!)
If your name appears in the feed, you have until 12/21 Friday 11:59 PM ET to claim the John Cow review. Otherwise, a new number will be generated for a new winner. Just comment in this post with “MOO” to confirm.
