I really do enjoy your comparisons,In a way SEO can be just like a Car, both does better with regular checks – But unlike a CAR, SEO can bring food to the table whilst a car can’t ..;)

I do SEO, yet sell cars??? a paradox??? Frankly though SEO is just like a car. You must maintain and monitor it all the time…

Well I’m not saying you have no idea. Usually people who are good at what they do will share good information as well. You just have to watch out for people who cold call making “too good to be true” guarantees without anything to show.

Hey Collin,
A lot of time the very nature of SEO disallows people from “proving” they are capable of achieving high rankings. In order to keep their competitive edge, they sometimes have to stay under the radar. This allows the scammers to come in and do all the talking (without being able to back it up).

Good point. SEO’s receive a lot of the blame but in the end everyone wants to rank a site.

Did you get a chance to listen in to the radio show? Danny Sullivan makes some great points and I think SEO needs a lot of growing up to do.
