Membership Site Mastermind Review – Your Guide to the Best Online Business Model
May 6, 2009 - Written by Gyutae Park
A few days ago, I told you why I love the membership site business model and why I think it offers the biggest Internet marketing opportunity online . Check out the link if you missed it.
On a related note, today I want to discuss and review Yaro Starak’s new launch of Membership Site Mastermind . As you may know, Yaro is a very successful blogger over at Entrepreneur’s Journey and has done very well for himself by selling subscriptions to his first membership site, Blog Mastermind. In fact, he traveled the world for 8 months in 2008 and still managed to make over $150,000 by working just a few hours a day. Proof that this stuff really works…
Membership Site Mastermind is based off of Yaro’s experiences and expertise in running Blog Mastermind and offers a comprehensive education for anyone looking to get involved with the membership site business model. I highly recommend it if you want to get started in creating your first membership site and explode your profits. The program covers the following topics:
- Topic Selection & Preeminence – doing market research, collecting prospects, and finding your niche
- Traffic Generation – driving traffic at every stage, capturing leads, and finding affiliates to promote your site
- Human Resources & Technology – hiring people to help and filling technology needs
- Content & Pricing – creating content that sells and establishing a pricing plan
- The Launch Process – preparing your sales page, giving away free content, and generating buzz via social media
- Post Launch – managing customer support, keeping attrition rate low, and testing your marketing systems
Unfortunately, the product isn’t cheap (it will run you 3 payments of $297 for full access) but the knowledge you gain will be worth the investment. There’s even a lifetime money-back guarantee if you feel like it’s not up to snuff. I joined Blog Mastermind a while back and really enjoyed Yaro’s style and insights. He has an engaging way of simplifying concepts and breaking them down into easy to follow steps. It might be just what you need to finally take you business to the next level and achieve financial freedom.
I announced that I’m launching my own Internet marketing membership site very soon – within the next month. Many of the concepts that I learned from Yaro have been very useful and I’ll be applying them to my own site during launch. There is one thing, however, that I don’t agree with Yaro on. He uses password-protected posts in Wordpress to run his membership sites and employs several people to take care of the ordering and management. I think that this is highly inefficient. Why not use the automated tools that are out there? I’m using Your Members membership site plugin for Wordpress and I love it so far.
Other than that, Membership Site Mastermind looks to be a great program that will give you a solid foundation for creating a profitable membership site. Be sure to read Yaro’s Membership Site Masterplan to get a better idea of Yaro’s style and the important concepts that will be covered. It’s free and offers a lot of good nuggets on its own. Maybe that will motivate you to make the leap. What do you all think of Yaro and his program? Membership sites in your future?

I cannot trust Yaro nor anyone that says anyone can earn lots of money with not much effort. I’m also sorry that bloggers I trust like you or Darren from Problogger are endorsing this guy… What a pity!
Hey Guillermo,
I agree with you that saying anyone can make a lot of money without much effort is very misleading. Most of the time that’s not true – especially for those just getting started. However, Yaro is a great guy who knows his stuff. He managed to build a system where he can in fact make a lot of money without much work. He practices what he preaches.
It’s easy to be skeptical of over the top marketing language – I don’t blame you. However, I do read Yaro’s blog and was a part of his Blog Mastermind program. If look past the super long sales pages and hype, there’s actually a very good product there.
OUCH — 3 payments of $297; is it no wonder that he managed to make $150K per year. I don’t want to be disrespectful, but that is steep. I guess if I was going to lay out that kind of money I would want to be in the same room as the man. Not to say that it isn’t well written, but for that kind of dough, I want face time and questions answered. All respect to Yaro, but I don’t think I will be checking it out anytime.
Hey Guys,
Have a read of my Masterplan – you will see that I’m not saying this is “easy money” or a get rich quick scheme.
If you judge me based only on the copy on a sales page, you’re missing the content.
Read the free Masterplan and I know you will see I’m teaching real content here.
Yaro
I’ve said this before, while this might work for a lot of people it is not something that will work for me at this moment in time.
I agree a membership site will bring in a lot of money. It also involves a lot of work and more important conceptualisation. I feel you will have to offer something good and the hard part is keep offering it. The income is a flow, so is the work.
