I am relatively new to the blog world, but my expertise was outside sales and I gave back a lot of my commissions, but it resulted in more business and loyalty in the coming years. Don't count on an immediate return (it is nice though), but keep it up. Sometimes you find "black holes of giving" - I just dumped them after a while...but most respond in kind.
