A lot of bloggers may not start out as an expert, but by blogging and keeping on top of their industry and paying more attention to details, eventually become an expert!
Blogging is an amazingly good way of learning things yourself as until you can explain something and talk about in in detail, you do not completely understand it.
Hey Tom,
I totally agree with you. You’re not always tied to a single blogger type for the rest of the life of your blog. It helps if you have a game plan but transitioning to expert status is not uncommon with some determination.
Agree 100% on this point and by the end of 2008 people will consider me to be an expert in this field
I agree w/ Tom here, blogging is a great learning process and a lot of people may not start out as an expert, but work their way up to expert status.
Yep, that’s definitely the ideal. But it certainly helps if you start off on the right foot and show the right image.
I would like to be an expert. I have not been blogging for long and I can already see that it takes a fair amount of dedication. One thing that I dont have a lot of is time. I have a young family I love to hang out with, my 9-5 job and then ME time. I find it hard to keep up with blogging at times. Anyone else experience this or am I just BAD at managing my time? I would love to work on blogging more and become an expert.
Hi Gerri, I think that everyone is “busy” and has time commitments throughout the day. If you are truly dedicated and passionate about blogging, you can squeeze in a daily blog entry. It may take setting your alarm an hour earlier, learning better organizational skills, working smarter instead of harder, or reading a book on time management. There are various things you could do.
Best wishes,
Andrew
It’s definitely a struggle. I admit that sometimes it’s just difficult to write posts and keep at it. It’s important to make it a lifestyle and above all, just enjoy it.
I think I am somewhere between ‘Journeyman’ [sic] and ‘Expert’ – I mean, you’ll never know everything about a subject.
I gotta tell you, I have had many ‘passion’ type blogs and they are all withering in the backwoods…
The blog I am able to maintain and build is based on research. I really don’t think it’s possible to be passionate about Listing Seminars!
I’ll be reading your next 4 categories before I vote. I’d really like to know a little more first.
Good to find out though,
Pam Hoffman

Hey Pam,
Thanks for replying. Of course no one is going to know everything about a certain topic but there are still people in niches who are considered experts and authorities. This is what we strive for and it’s a lot easier if we find something that isn’t over-saturated.
Look forward to the next 4.
I’m trying to work my way towards being an expert – it’s great incentive to learn more.
I think being an expert is always going to be the end goal. Good luck getting there!
Being the expert is perhaps the best choice if one wants to make it big quickly. You don’t actually have to be an expert, just behave like one.
Well you still need to know what you’re talking about. Most people will be able to tell whether an “expert” is for real or just faking it.
Nice article Gyutae, I will be following the next. I consider me an -intermediate level- blogger, I’m still learning everyday more and more content and everyday I give the best of me in my posts. However I read the others type of blogger categories and the most adjustable to me is Expert what do you think?
. See you around keep growing
.
Hey Mr Javo,
Thanks for the kind words. I like what you’re doing over at your blog and definitely think your site has potential to grow. Keep at it!
Thanks Gyutae, I very appreciate your comment about my blog.
