Contest Clue #20 – Vote Me a 10 for Top Affiliate Challenge

March 28, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

This clue is for an additional entry into the Craziest Internet Marketing Contest You’ve Ever Seen – a HUGE contest now with over $14,575 in some insane prizes. Winners will be selected by random draw on April 2 so get in now!

And now for the 20th clue of the contest… Top Affiliate Challenge.

Performing this action will give you 1 extra entry for the contest.

Clue #20 – Vote Me a 10 for Top Affiliate Challenge

The Top Affiliate Challenge is an Internet reality show that will begin airing in the summer. Basically how it works is that 12 contestants who audition to be on the show will be divided into 3 teams, each led by an Internet marketing guru, The teams will compete to win the top prize and a top affiliate will be chosen at the end. So far they have Shoemoney, John Chow, and Ken McArthur. I thought it was an interesting idea and put together a quick audition video. We’ll see how this pans out.

The action is this:

Go to my Top Affiliate Challenge audition page and vote me a 10! Then come back to this post and leave a comment letting me know what you think about my audition video and the show in general.

Here’s the video – be sure you cast your vote. 10!

Yeah I hate watching myself on video and I say “umm” way too much. πŸ™‚ Oh well. Anyone else plan on auditioning?

Gyutae – I do vote you a 10 and I think it’s time to add a new video. Not to say this one is bad – but like mine, it’s been up a while. I just uploaded a new one and am waiting for them to get it set up.

Now anyone who would like to vote a blind contestant who uses social media and makes her own videos a 10 is more than welcome to vote Ronda Del Boccio a 10!

I love going in to vote for my most worthy adversaries every day.

The show will be great.

Gyutae Park on March 29th, 2008

Thanks Ronda. That’s crazy, I don’t know how you do it.

The Story Lady on March 29th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Tenacity and entoring, Gyutae! Plus some adaptive technology.

BTW forgot to mention I do love your drumming in the audition. And I was nervous when I started doing videos too, but I got used to it and so will you.

For those wondering if it’s wise to ask people to vote for you on TAC – We’re all expected to promote ourselves to get on TAC otherwise we don’t deserve to be there. The ones with a following will get more votes.

Still waiting for my second video to be ranked and added into the system. And look out, Gyutae – because I spiced mine up a whole bunch from the first one! πŸ˜€

Hey I voted for you. The sound quality on that video is not very good btw.

Hey Gyutae,

Voted for a ten out of ten. I’d love to watch you on the show, and I’m sure it would be a great experience for you!

Keep up the good work,
Hafiz Dhanani

Santosh P on March 28th, 2008

Hey I voted 10 for you, But I was excited to watch you talking who had such a creative idea for the contests and stuff..
However After watching I felt you lacked creativity in the video.. The old man who spoke after I voted for you some trafficgysers was sick.. I had to close the screen imm may be will watch all of them tomorrow..

Anyways one video won’t spoil you much.. coz it was more of neutral..

But your contest rocks..i win or not, I am impressed for you to hold and manage such a great contest.. Take care.

Gyutae Park on March 29th, 2008

Thanks Santosh. This was actually the first video I’ve ever done so you can see why it wasn’t very creative. I’ll try and get better for next time. πŸ™‚

Emma on March 28th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

OK, you got a 10 from me. I like the T-shirts and the drumming. You also seem really qualified to be in the challenge. I hope you make it. Good luck, Emma

Mr. Nice Guy on March 28th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Yah, voted you already. Great video but the quality of the recording is not really that good Mr. Park

Tevin Anderson on March 28th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I voted for you. I’m going to be uploading my video next week. This is a great opportunity! Good luck sir.

P.S. Thanks for clearing up exactly how your name is pronounced :D. I was close!

Andrew Pavelski on March 28th, 2008

Hey Gyutae, nice clip to watch. Though you said “umm” quite a bit and could’ve spiced things up more… you did a nice job πŸ™‚ I voted ya a 10 and hope to see you move to numero uno on that list.

Andrew Pavelski on March 28th, 2008

BTW>> Nice little drum solo there @ the end πŸ˜‰

ImageGag on March 29th, 2008

The video maybe could use a little work, but you’ve definitely got the experience and skills to be awesome in this contest. You get a 10.

Good luck!

Derek Salyers on March 29th, 2008

Voted for you, good luck, and the video wasn’t that bad, just a little longer than it needed to be IMO.

Chris on March 29th, 2008

Too much of “umm” and the recording quality is so-so, but overall, it wasn’t that bad…

Jason on March 29th, 2008

Voted 10. I have to agree with most of the other comments. You’re definitely one of the best candidates in my opinion, but the video could have used some spice. People who don’t know you, and are just watching you on that video for the first time, probably won’t have the patience to watch it.

Meethere on March 29th, 2008

Voted …

Nice presentation of video, just needs sound quality improvement and a little more brightness and sexy background

Alex on March 29th, 2008

I understand that you were a bit nervous – but that’s normal. Looks like it’s gonna be a very interesting show – I just hope the producers have a big enough budget to make it interesting.

Michael Heindel on March 29th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I gave you a 10. Currently you are in 5th position.

Michael Zebold on March 29th, 2008
Chris on March 29th, 2008

Voted 10.
I wish you chose a better setting. It looked like you were doing it in a public bathroom or something. =)

Gyutae Park on March 29th, 2008

lol, it was actually done in my basement because that’s where my drums are… although I don’t blame you for thinking it’s a public bathroom.

Eric Nagel on March 29th, 2008

“You voted Gyutae Park a 10”

I like how you described the give & take that you expect to accomplish at the event. Seeing you on the drums brought some life to the video, too. Like others said, however, the audio wasn’t the clearest.

Good luck!

Jirel on March 29th, 2008

Voted 10. I like the video. It was average one.

hts on March 29th, 2008

You got my 10 points πŸ™‚
However, have you considered that ppl might think that you are trying to game the system, as you did with some other “clues” before? (like the sphinn-thing πŸ™‚ )

Gyutae Park on March 29th, 2008

I live and die by the game. πŸ™‚

narendra.s.v on March 29th, 2008

10* for your really rocking video! πŸ˜€

Tyler Cruz on March 29th, 2008

Hi Gyutae,

I just voted you a 10, and I already spoke to you about what I thought about the top affiliate challenge privately… πŸ˜‰

Good luck! If you don’t win, I’ll be disappointed…

P.S. I just read what the other commentors said.. I actually disagree, I thought your video was just fine. Much better than most of the others there (except for the drums).

Although, I must admit that I’m rooting for Kelly Cole!!!

Mike on March 29th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Voted for you. Looks pretty interesting!

Too many umm’s? Umm.. maybe! But not bad!

I’m still not sure on the show itself.. some of the other auditions were just bad.

Gyutae Park on March 29th, 2008

Haha, good one.

Yeah, the quality of the show is questionable, but they did manage to sign on Azoogle Ads, Shoemoney, and John Chow. It’s all a matter of execution. We’ll see how it goes.

Tim on March 29th, 2008

Voted 10!

Cool video man, good luck, and if you do get picked, make sure to keep us posted about all the cool stuff you learn πŸ˜›

unTECHy on March 29th, 2008

You get a 10 from me. The brick background in the video was a little bland, but your wardrobe change was entertaining. LOL

California Web Design on March 29th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Keep learning that is the key to internet marketing.

Douglas Slingerland on March 29th, 2008

Gyutae – not to be offensive but that was a very boring video, it’s just like all the others and doesn’t stand out a bit. Stir something exciting and interesting, something people want to watch instead of a biography.

Nice drumming by the way.

P.S. and I voted you a 10, just because I like you ; )

Jason on March 30th, 2008

Ten from me. Nice marketing w/ the tee, damn I need to get some made πŸ˜›

Matthew on March 30th, 2008

You voted Gyutae Park a 10

Gerri on March 30th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Just voted you a 10! You could do a bit better with the sound quality.
I like the idea of videos because it can sometimes make it who lot easier when trying to get a point across and another big thing is that it puts a voice to the name.

Carl Thomas on March 30th, 2008

Voted 10 but dude! Talk about bad sound quality.

btw – was that a double base pedal I heard?

Gyutae Park on March 30th, 2008

Thanks everyone for voting for me. The general consensus seems to be that the sound quality is horrible and that the video isn’t very unique or creative. Both valid points.

Great feedback guys – I’ll try to do something “spicier” next time. πŸ™‚

Tom Beaton on March 30th, 2008

Voted. Looks like it could be pretty interesting especially with the big names involved. I look forward to watching it.

J on March 30th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I voted for you, I thought your video was pretty good overall, liked the drums.

Somebodyunfamous on March 30th, 2008

Voted a 10. I didn’t watch any other videos, so I can’t do any type of comparison, however, I thought you spoke rather well. It only seemed slightly scripted, but well rehearsed, slipping very few times. Good job and good luck!

nick on March 31st, 2008

Voted a 10! Spoken very well, and you seem like a genuine nice guy wanting to help.

Andriy Ivashkevych on March 31st, 2008

All ok, but sound quality must be better.

elezend on March 31st, 2008

Ah.. too bad I’m not in USA. Anyway, voted ^^

Eric on March 31st, 2008

Voted, a perfect 10.

G Smith on March 31st, 2008

I gave you a 10 too.

Thuan Nguyen on March 31st, 2008

I voted for you Gyutae. Good Luck!

Carol on March 31st, 2008

Good Luck! Voted you at 10.

Loved that fact that you wore your logo shirt. The video was a little dry and could have used some more excitment.

Tom on March 31st, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Gave you a 10!
I liked the fact that we, readers of your blog also learnt more about you. Just hoping for a little bit more oompfh in the presentation, but all in all, it was informative! Keep it up!

knupnet on April 1st, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I voted for you. Great work on the video!

Amanda Martin on April 1st, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I have you a 10, I really liked how you changed wardrobe a few times, and the ending was really nice. Only thing I didn’t really like was the wall behind you was distracting for some reason.. other than that it was great, informative and the ending was a lot of fun πŸ™‚

Chad Coronato on April 1st, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I gave you a…… 10! haha.. i’ll be honest.. i wasn’t to enthralled with the boring CMU block background.. and I am stoked that I watched it because I am an aspiring drummer and I had no idea you had a site.. So thats pretty sweet!

Shotgun35 on April 2nd, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I voted for you, but like some of the others said, I think you could have showcased your creativity more. I’m sure they are going to want the contestants to show some really creative ideas on the show, so I think it’s best to show them some in the audition video.

DotDriven on April 2nd, 2008

voted :). lol Gyutae, for some reason, with the brick wall and you trying to act really professional” I got the feeling it was a parole meeting with you trying to explain why you should be released and let back out to contribute to society lol πŸ˜‰

But really I think you would be awesome with that so I really hope you end up being part of it! Good luck and keep pushing this beyond this contest ;).

Oh and Travis Barker would be proud lol πŸ˜‰
