March 26, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

This clue is for additional entries into the Craziest Internet Marketing Contest You’ve Ever Seen – a HUGE contest now with over $14,575 in some insane prizes. Winners will be selected by random draw on April 2 so get in now!

And now for the 16th clue of the contest… Guess the final prize pool value.

Performing this action will potentially give you 2 extra entries for the contest.

Clue #16 – Submit Your Own Contest Clues

So for 2 weeks, I’ve been kind of dictating the contest rules and laying down the contest clues on my own. I thought it’d be nice to turn it over to you guys for a change and see what you all can come up with. Don’t disappoint me!

The action is this:

Leave a comment in this post with a suggestion for a contest clue. 2 entries (hopefully) will be selected and featured in a future contest clue. Some of the factors I’ll be judging the clues on are:

2 of the best entries will be selected and used as contest clues in the coming days. I’ll also give you credit for 2 more entries if you win this. Good luck! Only 1 more week left…

Guess how many entries the person with the most entries has at the end of this contest.

Thats a good one. Kinda like guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar.

I liked this one Wisdom, thanks for sharing ;)

And also I didn’t mean to spam Contest Clue #13. I was having trouble posting comments earlier.

Your still 50 away from being the top commenter. I don’t think anyone will accuse you of being a spammer.

Refer a new sponsor to “Craziest Internet Marketing Contest You’ve Ever Seen” contest, and the person who refers the most sponsors(or prizes in dollar value) gets 20 entries or something like that.

BunnyM on March 27th, 2008

Make an interesting related poll that we all have to vote on to get extra entries :)

Readers can post a little blog post on their site on which prize they want to win and how it can benefit the reader. Basically selling the sponsor to the reader by wanting to use it on their own site.

Michael Heindel on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

That is a neat idea. I think it might be hard to manage if Gyutae has to manage how many entries per person go towards a drawing for a specific prize.

Best of luck!

Michael

Contest Clue #17- Sign up for RSS feed on each of the sponsors blogs. Shoemoney, Chow, Cow, etc. Leave a comment with simple info from completion of sign up page.

Some may already be signed up, some/most may not be. Indicate accordingly. One point for each blog sign up.

marlon on March 27th, 2008

The best thing about all of this is not the opportunity to win prizes but to leverage the community vibe that this contest has built up to benefit everyone here.

As I mentioned before, Gyutae is the biggest winner as his blog in truly accelerating exponentially. But this need not be the case. Everyone here should be networking with one another to build their own blogs or reach their own goals.

To get this started, I recommend that 2 entries are allocated for every 5 RSS subscriptions to other contestants’ blogs.

Michael Heindel on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

I think he is going ot have a hard time matching the RSS subscribers in is own list let alone the subscribers in another list.

Your point on networking is right on target, great thinking.

Here are some of my suggestions:

1. Join your MyBlogLog community. I already joined earlier this month.

2. Find you on FaceBook and submit a friend request. I did this as well earlier this month. Oddly enough I keep getting new friend requests because of my friends friends that want to be my friend.

3. Submit a photo of your workarea. The space where you do your blogging, etc. This is kinda like the shirt idea, but people don’t have to buy anything.

4. Guess how many comments Michael Heindel will have when this contest is over. I would have to pass on entering this contest since Michael Heindel is me.

I especially liked idea #4 ;) We could also throw Andrew Pavelski in the mix… haha

If you think you have a hefty lead, think again!

Louis Liem on March 27th, 2008

guest post here about any sponsor in the contest to get entries to catch up with. it’ll increase exposures, those who do the effort – but missed some clues earlier – will get their odds increased, need no money!

My clue:

- offer a backlink to all participants (anyone who writes a post about the contest, at least)

Mike on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

My idea:
If you have used any of the sponsor’s services, write a review on your interaction with them. If you have NOT used any of them, check out their websites and write about why you think they could be helpful to the blogging community.

Dan on March 27th, 2008

Here’s one idea! A quick video talking about one of the prizes and how it could benefit any internet marketer, for instance the Azoogle ads prize, how would someone use it and of course always mention WTW contest and the prize, this can be done with 30 seconds videos, even using a cell phone camera!

Dan on March 27th, 2008

How about using one of the SEo prizes, SEObook sub or SEOmoz.org prizes, how can these increase your profits, I think these are the most valuable prizes, teaching and resources for long term sucess, all about getting traffic! And of course, metuoning WTW and the two prizes.

phone card affiliate on March 27th, 2008

How about for the 4 $25 phone cards.

Have the best 4 realated telecom story’s submitted in the comments section Wins!

P.S. i’m pretty sure that the phone card prize sponsor would approve this.

Tom Beaton on March 27th, 2008

Guess how many people have entered the competition?

Guess what the average number of entries is?

Flimjo on March 27th, 2008

How about guess how many entries the highest entry-holder has.

Help me get closer to 1 Million viewers. Everyone commenting on http://mi11ion.blogspot.com/2008/03/winning-contests-at-winning-web.ht ml will get 2 additional entries!

Flimjo on March 27th, 2008

Heh, that’s a good one! Hey everybody post one comment anywhere on http://flimjo.com and receive 10 contest entries!

K-IntheHouse on March 27th, 2008

With Twitter being ultra-famous gets the word out faster than news networks can break news, how about a contest entry for a ‘Tweet’ (twitter-speak for broadcasting to the followers) about this contest!

Tim on March 27th, 2008

Well, since most people have probably had some experience with at least 1 product/service/site in the prize list, how about for 1 entry, write up a mini review (50-100 words) about one of the sponsors and comment.

That way, the sponsors get free feedback for their stuff!

California Web Design on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Guess how many actual WINNERS there will be out of the 100 different prizes that this amazing contest offers. That sounds pretty cool IMO.

Chris

Flimjo on March 27th, 2008

How about asking the participants to create a post on their own blogs linking back to the contest and ranking the different prizes?

Emma on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

Here’s one. The big craze right now is Video blogging. Make a video introducing yourself and mention the contest. Or for super exposure Problogger is going to post videos submitted by people who say why they blog.

One of the reasons I blog is to enter cool contests like Gyutae’s Craziest Internet Marketing Contest You’ve Ever Seen!

Make the video submit to Problogger, bam 20 points. Crazy exposure for your crazy contest.

I beleive there’s only a couple days left on the Problogger why I blog submissions.

Jason on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

How about a code-this type of thing? If a person can code application X with function Y, they would get entries…doesn’t have to be anything fancy.

Andrew Pavelski on March 27th, 2008

Hey Gyutae – I’ve got a couple of ideas ;)

1) You should have everyone get a MaxBlogPress stripe ad on their blogs linking to the contest for some extra entries ;)

2) You could have everyone guess how many RSS subscribers you will have at the end of the final day of the contest

3) Have everyone guess how many total comments you got this month

4) Have everyone guess the increase of RSS subscribers between the 1st day of the contest and the final day

Tevin Anderson on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

You could so something as simple as having people ad you as their favorite on technorati.

mr nice guy on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

It would be better if the bloggers would guess who has posted the nicest blog post on this contest.

mr nice guy on March 27th, 2008 Subscribed to comments via email

…and the winner of course wins a special prize. Isn’t it cool Mr. park?

Jason on March 28th, 2008

How about

A) Everyone adds you to their Entrecard favorites list. This will give you some extra exposure when those blogs are viewed on Entrecard (and you show up as one of their favorites).

and/or

B) Everyone drops on your Entrecard widget. Either once, or every day for the remainder of the contest

and/or

C) Write you a recommendation on Entrecard. Not much exposure to gain from this anymore..but it would give you more recommendations to show the Entrecard community when they view your profile. Some even end up making good testimonials for future use.

Thuan Nguyen on March 28th, 2008

You should have everyone design a wallpaper promoting the contest with the requirement every sponsors logo appears in it.

I have a clue :

- let everybody delicious the entry/blog

OR

- Let the participants make a comment on each sponsoring blogs like shoemoney etc. I mean all the blogs who are the contest sponsors and give some entires. :D

Have everyone write a review of one of your sponsors on their site with a link to your contest at the bottom.
