A Tool to Manage Your Blog Comments
November 14, 2007 - Written by Gyutae Park
Commenting on other blogs is a great marketing strategy to increase exposure for your own blog and to build relationships. That being said, it is still extremely difficult to keep tabs on which blog posts I have commented on and who has replied. Discussions are fragmented and hard to follow and with lots of commenting, things can get pretty hectic fast. There’s always the option of subscribing to the comments through email, but who wants their inbox flooded every time someone posts a message.
I recently discovered a tool called cocomment, which is a Firefox plugin and aggregates all of the blog comments you post into one simple area. Here’s a screenshot of the user interface:

It does check every page you visit for a form field, so I’m guessing it may slow down loading times. I haven’t noticed it yet but I will definitely keep you posted. Other than that, this seems like a great tool that will facilitate my blog commenting strategy. Check it out if you haven’t already and let us know how it goes.

Hi Gyutae,
I gave Cocomment a try… couldn’t stand the SPAMMY ads that show up… drives you mad!
Now I don’t mind Ads… but these Ads are the WORST. If you actually clicked on one it would likely do some damage to your computer.
Looked a very handy tool though…
Take care Gyutae what you recommend.
Regards
David
