Go for the Gold? No, Go for the Good!

If you’re like me and played organized sports growing up as a young boy, you might recall your coach always trying to pump you up with cheesy phrases like “go for the gold!” I know it’s painful to remember and has probably scarred you for life, but I have some good news for you. As an Internet entrepreneur, I’m here to refute all of that and say no, don’t go for the gold. Forget everything those coaches ever told you and listen up. Don’t go for the gold, go for the good (providing for your visitors). Sure, our main goal as Internet entrepreneurs is to make money and be successful, but is success all you think about? If that’s the case, you’ll never reach that point of success you’ve always dreamed of. That’s almost like expecting to be elected president of the United States without gaining any kind of following or running any presidential campaign. It just won’t happen. People are not going to vote for you if they sense you’re only interested in the title of president and not in improving their lives.

Will REAL Unique Content Please Stand Up

The real definition of unique content
So I hear things all the time about having to create “unique content”, unique content, blah blah blah. But what exactly is unique content? I surf the web on a regular basis and honestly, 90% of the stuff out there isn’t unique in a conceptual sense. It’s basically the same thing with the words arranged in a different order. And here is where I think the problem lies. Webmasters are not writing for human eyes and are trying to game the system by stealing ideas and trying to monetize them as their own. They merely just take content that is already out there and summarize it in their own words hoping to make a fortune. Sure this content is “unique” in a grammatical sense and search engines may not exactly be able to pick up on it. But is this adding value to visitors? Maybe they can make a buck or two today, but tomorrow, nothing will differentiate them from the competition and they are bound to fail. So let’s recap… the REAL definition of unique content is as follows:
