Want to go to Blog World Expo this summer? Here’s your chance to win a FREE full conference pass to the popular 1-year old event, the first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of blogging and new media. Last year’s expo was a huge success with thousands of attendees, great mainstream media coverage, and prominent speakers like Mark Cuban, Matt Mullenweg, and Jeremy Wright. The event is a prime opportunity to make new contacts, learn more about blogging, and receive more exposure for your brand – in fabulous Las Vegas too.
Blog World Expo 2008 will be held September 20-21 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Conference passes cost as much as $400, but you can get yours free by participating in this latest Winning the Web contest. (Airfare and hotel not included)
Here’s how it will work:
- Submit a guest post about blogging to gyutae [at] winningtheweb . com. All submissions must be received by June 25th 11pm ET. Your post can be about anything related to blogging so feel free to be creative. You must also include why you would like to attend this year’s Blog World Expo.
- All of the guest posts will be published between June 26-30.
- The top 2-5 posts (depending on the number of entries) that generate the most amount of traffic in the month of July will move onto the finals (as determined by Google Analytics).
- In the first week of August, a panel of judges (to be determined) and I will vote on the winning entry out of the top 2-5.
I encourage all bloggers to participate in this competition. It’s a great way to showcase your blogging skills to a wide audience, get a valuable backlink to your blog, and potentially win a free full conference pass to Blog World Expo. Hopefully, I’ll be able able to meet you all there!

If you’re not going to do things until August, everyone might be better off just buying their passes, unless they really had no way to go in the first place. If you get a pass before June 20, it’s cheaper.
Cool, I’m in. Any other parameters, like post length?
The post must be unique (not found anywhere else) and of high-quality. As for post length, a 400 word minimum seems reasonable.
Okay, I’m re-reading this after sleep! Then I have to decide whether to retweet it for the sake of promoting BWE which I think is incredible, or keeping it to myself to lower the number of competitors!
