Every startup business, online or off, has challenges – that’s just the way it is. But it doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. Struggles and obstacles are essentially growing pains that help new companies build character and establish themselves over time. Without these challenges, a business would not have the motivation to grow and move forward and a business that isn’t moving forward might as well be dead – especially in the fast-moving online world.
So what are some of the most common challenges startup companies and entrepreneurs face? Here are a few that come to mind…

If you’ve been following me for some time now, you know that I’m a big fan of membership sites and continuity programs as an online business model. Not only do they offer lucrative income streams, but they’re relatively easy to set up and get started. All you really need is passion for a topic, expert knowledge (either you or a partner), and some technical and marketing know-how. It’s not easy to make money of course (despite what the “gurus” like to say), but the profit potential is huge once things click into place.

New affiliate networks seem to pop up everyday and it can be quite a chore determining which ones are actually worthwhile. Today I’d like to review T3leads, a pay-per-lead affiliate program that sells generated leads through a unique auction system that supposedly allows affiliates to maximize profits. Basically how it works is publishers have their visitors fill out an application (considered a lead) but the payout is not predefined because advertisers in the niche bid and essentially compete for the leads. Leads could be valued anywhere between $2 and $150.

Back in June, I posted a Tatto Media review – about a newer affiliate marketing network branched off of one of the biggest ad networks online. If you haven’t read the review and you’re looking for additional affiliate networks to add to your arsenal, I suggest you check it out. Tatto has good offers and payouts and hosts a fast and easy-to-use interface that makes running your campaigns easier.
Tatto Media is working hard to improve its network and quickly gain more advertisers and publishers. In this sponsored followup review, I’ll outline some of the improvements that they’ve made in the past couple of months (since my review).

As you’ve probably heard from various sources around the web, Microsoft and Yahoo have officially agreed on a search deal that will inevitably change the landscape of the industry and greatly affect the jobs of many SEOs.
To recap, some of the main terms of the deal are as follows:
- The agreement lasts for 10 years and Microsoft will have exclusive access to Yahoo search technologies and data. Microsoft will then be able to incorporate these technologies into its own search engine, Bing.
