May 30, 2009 - Written by Gyutae Park

wp pluginsOne of the most frequently asked questions I get here on Winning the Web is “what WordPress plugin are you using to do X?”. I’ve been pretty generous in responding to emails and giving away my plugins, but unfortunately it does tend to take up a lot of my time. LogoMyWay Review – Win $200 For Your Own Custom Logo

May 21, 2009 - Written by Gyutae Park

What’s a logo worth to you? Whether you know it or not, your logo is extremely important and contributes to the overall perception of your site. It’s more than just a pretty graphic design – it represents your brand image (i.e. what your site is all about).

So should you invest in a high quality logo? I say yes. I was lucky enough to have a logo idea for Winning the Web before I started the site, but I don’t recommend this route to everyone – especially if your graphic design skills are limited. For a few hundred dollars you can utilize the talent of professional designers all around the world and get a logo you can be proud of. That’s money well spent if you ask me.

The Fastest Way to Get Featured on Winning the Web…

…is through my stomach.  Seriously. I normally don’t blog about this sort of stuff, but I simply can’t let this one go by unnoticed. The folks over at Market Leverage have completely outdone themselves. Let me explain…

The article was about injecting personality in business blogs and Dina commented joking that no one wants to know what my favorite pizza topping is.  I replied to her, asking “why not?  My favorite topping is mushroom!”.  Lo and behold, a few hours later, a delivery guy from Giordano’s appeared at my front door with a boatload of food.  Amazing!
