Main Benefits of the Winning the Web Redesign Explained

September 29, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

Check out my first screen cast ever, where I explain the new Winning the Web redesign and why the new features are important.

As you may have noticed, Winning the Web recently underwent a site redesign to incorporate a lot of new features that I had in mind. In my opinion, the new design is cleaner with more of a web 2.0 feel and has the potential to attract more new visitors to my authority articles.

Winning the Web Redesign – What Do You Think?

September 28, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to redesign Winning the Web into more of a magazine-style format for the longest time now – and I was finally able to get to it this week using one of Brian Gardner’s amazing Revolution WordPress themes.

I’ll soon be writing a detailed post about all of the changes and their benefits, but first I wanted to do a quick poll and get your feedback.

What do you think of the Winning the Web redesign? Do me a favor and submit your vote in the poll.

Here’s what the previous theme looked like:

September 24, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

I know that I’ve been plugging my Internet marketing rival Tyler Cruz quite a bit these days, but I still owe him a review for promoting my contest a while back. So here it is finally… a review of Tyler’s Publisher Spot.

Use Public Accountability and Deadlines to Get Things Done

September 22, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

It’s 3 am in the morning. There’s still a ton of stuff I need to get done, and yet I’m tired and cranky, craving sleep. I could easily just throw in the towel and call it a night, but I know that there’s just too much at stake. I need to get my work done before it’s due, and do it well before time’s up. My body is screaming at me, threatening to shut itself down. I retaliate by consuming more and more coffee, stimulants to keep me alert and sharp.

7 Things You Can Do If You’re Not Going to Blog World Expo

September 18, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

This weekend, the blogosphere converges in Las Vegas for a huge in-person blogging conference called Blog World Expo. The conference was a big success last year and I have no doubt that it’ll be even bigger this year with well-known bloggers like John Chow, Brian Clark, Darren Rowse, and Gary Vaynerchuck in attendance. If you take a look at the speaker lineup, you’ll be surprised to find star players in almost all new media industries like blogging, SEO, and social media. For example, Lee Odden and Michael Gray will be covering SEO and John Andrews and Muhammad Saleem will be holding down social media. The list goes on and on with big names. With a star-studded cast like that and incredible networking opportunities, you’d have to be crazy not to go to this event.

September 18, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

Let me ask you a few questions. How far would you go to promote your products? What would it take to take your business to the next level without sacrificing time for hobbies, friends, and family? What’s holding you back from success right now?

Tyler Cruz Humiliation Video

September 15, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

Here’s Tyler’s humiliation video after losing to me in the affiliate marketing showdown. I probably could have done a lot better with the script, but we don’t want to embarrass Tyler too much now do we. Paul Piotrowski of Inspired Affiliate recommended the following:

“Hi, my name is Tyler Cruz, and I’ve got a video confession to make today. I’ve been running Tyler for a long time, but today I want to come clean and admit that all of my income has been coming in from prostituting myself and not from blogging. My pimp’s name is Gyutae…”

Gyutae Wins Again – Tyler Cruz Prepares For Humiliation After Affiliate Marketing Showdown

September 14, 2008 - Written by Gyutae Park

Well, it’s official folks. After edging out Tyler Cruz as the underdog in our previous blog competition, I managed to do it yet again in the most recent affiliate marketing showdown. For those of you that haven’t been following the event, Tyler and I started a little contest to see who could make the most money doing PPC affiliate marketing in a month. We’re both fairly inexperienced in this area and the purpose of the challenge was to motivate us to increase affiliate income. We started off very slowly, but in the end I managed to get lucky and make my campaigns profitable in the final week. It’s not much, but it’s still a good start and enough to beat out Tyler (who happens to be in the red).
